The second day took me from Bridgeport to home. It was a pretty uneventful day and the roads were clear. The only excitement occurred when somehow I got lost trying to get to the Dumbarton Bridge. Fortunately I had my trusty GPS which guided me directly to it. It was in fact the only time I used the GPS the entire trip. I was home by noon.

I hit the Sonora Pass at about 6:30am. It was cold (39 degrees) and quiet. The only other travelers I saw during the first hour were a couple of deer. One broke out of a bush and ran alongside me for about 20 yards and then took off into the forest. There were no other vehicles until I got to Dardanelle.
